How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT to Metrunio?
Under “AI tools” there are five steps each for Claude and ChatGPT: add a custom connector with the Metrunio address in the tool, connect, allow it in Metrunio and ask. This is available from Pro, and an admin of the account approves it. The connection only reads.
How do I ask Claude or ChatGPT about my figures?
- 01In the portal, open “AI tools” and choose the Claude or ChatGPT tab.
- 02Add a custom connector in the tool: in Claude among the connectors in the settings, in ChatGPT under “Plugins” with “Add custom MCP server” and OAuth as sign-in. As the address, enter the one shown on the page; “Copy address” puts it on the clipboard.
- 03Connect. The tool opens Metrunio in a new window.
- 04Sign in, check the account, read the note on sharing data and choose “Allow”.
- 05Switch on Metrunio in the chat and ask, for example: “Which campaign had the best ROAS last month?”
The connection then appears under “AI tools” among the connected AI tools; that is where you disconnect it. On Pro the tool reads totals such as metrics, channels and campaigns, from Growth also individual orders or leads and customer journeys. It cannot change anything.
Legal note
With “Allow” you instruct us to transmit the account’s data to the tool. You choose the AI provider yourself; whether you need a data processing agreement with it and what your plan there allows is something to clarify with your privacy advisor. Details are in “How do I connect my own AI tool?”.

Is there an MCP server for Metrunio?
Through Metrunio’s MCP server. From Pro, Claude and ChatGPT sign in via OAuth and read totals such as key metrics, channels, campaigns, commerce and web analytics; from Growth also individual conversions and journeys. From Growth, other tools use an API key of scope “read”, the same one a script would use for /v1/data.

What can the portal chat do, and what can it not?
Under “Ask your data” a language model answers questions about your measurement data and about how to use the product. It reads only through defined tools, states only figures that came from a tool call, and openly reports which tools it used.
